Yesterday I ordered a 3-entree 1 side meal from Panda Express drive thru. This is was convenient for me because I didn’t want to get out of the car and I had my little furry family member with who just came from his grooming appointment. The drive thru service took longer than most fast food restaurant but it was fine with me. So here it is, my Panda Express favorites:
Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
These teriyaki chicken slices are just perfect, everytime! It is never dry, it is moist and soft and the sauce is just perfect too, it is not overpowering, not weak in flavor but just right. I always order it with the teriyaki sauce on the side, I like to eat it better while dipping it onto the sauce rather than it is already soaked with sauce. I am eating it right now as I type and even it has been a day old since I ordered it, its texture and taste did not change.
Honey Walnut Shrimp
I love honey walnut shrimp! I’ve been to different Chinese restaurants and I always look for this dish. The best (for me) honey walnut shrimp for me is at Panda Express. Unlike others who over cook it, Panda Express’ shrimp is not soggy from the sauce, the walnuts are not too soft and they still crunch when you eat them; the sweetness of the overall expreience is just right. The best way (and time) to eat it is when you get it fresh and warm from their wok. The texture kind of toughens when you eat it the day after or when you reheat it. If you would like to reheat it, just don’t include the walnuts so that it won’t lose its crunchiness.
I used to love their Orange Chicken but I just noticed that there are some PE branches that cook it spicy and sometimes too spicy. I do not know why Orange Chicken is served inconsistently whether it being spicy or non-spicy. Anyone knows why? Is a trend that they’re doing that I don’t know of? What are your favorites from Panda Express? I’d love to try them.
