Only spend on maternity clothes for outdoors and special events. When you’re at home, use your husband’s clothes and underwear (if they’re loose enough). You’ll save money that way. 

If you are single, or married with no kids yet, then you have no excuse to skip Sunday’s Mass.

When you have a baby, or any children under 5 years old, it’s understandable, especially when mass is scheduled 2 to 3 times only on Sundays. If you live in an area where mass is scheduled every hour, go to church whenever you can.

I believe that God will understand and appreciate the care you are giving to your kids. Parenthood is just too hectic during infancy and toddlerhood.

The customer ISN’T always right. Correct them in the kindest way possible. If you can, compromise if his demands are fitting to his current situation and if it’s within company’s policies. But don’t make an exception, because you’ll have to do it for everyone.

My doctor is the friendliest doctor I’ve ever known. He answers all my questions, and tells me they’re very good questions. He always greets me with a smile. He is strict in his medical care, but treats me as a person, not a mere patient.

If you are doctor, please don’t forget to be kind to everyone you work with. Your team (rather than calling them subordinates) may have studied lesser years and lesser books than you, but you are all professionals, with different roles, different skillset, different levels of knowledge, but all will work harmoniously and effectively if each is kind to everyone. Ask first what is needed, never assume so that your efforts won’t go to waste and you won’t be hurt by rejection. This applies to gift giving, lending a hand or any situation that you put yourself on the line.

If you want to be a doctor, or if you are already are a doctor, aside from curing and saving people’s lives, PLEASE, write legibly, do not scribble, make an extra effort to make your penmanship readable, because your nurse partners need to read your orders accurately. And they won’t have to call you just to ask what you wrote, 5mg or 5g? Milligrams and grams aren’t the same.

Normally, kids will prefer their mother over their father. However, when mother is taking a break, or a nap, fathers should do their best to keep their children from disturbing their moms, at least for time that mommy is resting. Don’t just give up and say “she/he wants Mom.” True story.

Another thing about business investments, an older family friend told me, don’t expect your money to come back. Meaning, when you invest on a business, especially start-up businesses, you have to set your mind that you are giving your money away, or purchasing something  expensive that you will only use for a short time. Business can either succeed or fail. If it succeeds, you’re lucky, congratulations to you, you will be financially supported even after you retire from your job. If it fails, charge it to experience. I still suggest you invest your money, as what I have understood about Robert Kiyosaki’s ways, wealth is money invested that grows, even in your sleep. read more
